In this episode I discuss my recent medical scare and how I found myself triggered to numb out and escape.
I talk about trauma and its relationship to addiction and how hard it is to stay sober when it is hard to be present in your body but how using the influences of Western and Eastern Medicines can be helpful in healing the root of our addictions when we start seeing them as symptoms of something bigger rather than the actual problem.
What does it mean to be radical responsible in recovery and how can we make choices that allow us to be in a space that is deeper than just quitting drinking? I discuss how there is a difference between being sober and doing the work.
